As a Diesel & Natural Gas Industrial Engine Technician/Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and performing critical repairs on Caterpillar engines and generator sets. From routine maintenance to advanced troubleshooting and rebuilds, your work ensures Mustang Cat equipment keeps powering essential industries.

Requirements

Must own tools required to perform necessary repairs
High school diploma or GED required
Previous mechanic or military experience
Familiarity with Caterpillar power units, generator systems, and fuel systems
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electronic, and engine systems
Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and technical troubleshooting independently

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or technical school certificate preferred

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel and natural gas engines.
Remove, install, disassemble, and recondition Caterpillar power units and generator sets.
Conduct system testing, adjustments, and failure analysis.
Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and fuel system components.
Deliver quality work in a fast-paced shop environment.
