Additional information can be found at www.ttm.com We are seeking a highly technical and organized Dielectric Materials Engineer to manage the lifecycle of our polymer-based coating systems. This role bridges the gap between raw chemical formulation and large-scale manufacturing, ensuring our dielectric materials meet rigorous performance and scheduling standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with dielectric materials, thin-film coatings, or polymer synthesis is preferred.
  • Strong Project Management Skills with the ability to coordinate compiles schedules with third party vendors is preferred.
  • Ability to translate chemical theory into practical solutions for high volume manufacturing environments is preferred
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor & Supply Management: Act as the primary point of contact for chemical and coating vendors. You will negotiate lead times, maintain a consistent supply of raw materials, and oversee inventory levels to ensure zero production downtime.
  • Coating Operations: Manage the end-to-end scheduling of coating runs with external partners. You will be responsible for technical oversight during these runs to ensure specifications are met.
  • Formulation & Logistics: Utilize your expertise to formulate and refine material recipes. You will oversee the preparation, packaging, and "ready-to-ship" protocols for materials heading to our main production facility.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Apply deep knowledge of polymer chemistry to diagnose and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks, material inconsistencies, and technical failures on the line.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain precise records of chemical stock and technical datasheets, ensuring all materials are tracked from receipt through final production integration. Re-certification of materials related to shelf life to extend use of inventory
  • Familiarize with the thermal analysis equipment and flow press for testing products and produce COAs
