About The Position

The primary duty of this position is to operate various types of machinery including but not limited to Extrusion Saw, Metlsaw, B & O Saw, Cerlobathe bender, Miter Saw, Punch Press, Flat Bed Lasers, and Age Oven. The work environment requires the ability to work in conditions exposed to elements such as coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

Requirements

• High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred
• One year of manufacturing and/or machine experience preferred
• Must demonstrate computer literacy
• Must pass and maintain written and driving test for forklift certification as well as crane training

Responsibilities

• Feed the necessary raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines
• Complete daily machine check sheets and production recording
• Tend to the machine and product to ensure quality and proper operation
• Ensure quality parts are being produced by making frequent quality checks
• Perform typical machine shop and mold press operations to support the assembly floor
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
• Perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burring, molding and all bench operations and inspect outer production, calculate run-outs, pieces from run-out, scrap
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to customers
• Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environmental performance results and findings
