About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum of one year experience in plastics die setting.
• Experience in mold set-ups and familiarity with maintenance problems.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art controls on machines and robots.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to perform simple math operations and understand percentages.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing for at least one year.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all mold changes per the production schedule and emergency mold changes.
• Set up all die related functions including watering of the die, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Repair any fluid or air leaks related to the die.
• Perform die insert changes as required.
• Pull and reset all die halves for repair purposes.
• Load and unload all die carrying trucks.
• Maintain the orderly appearance of all die storage.
• Order and maintain die setting supplies, ensuring removal from the molding machine.
• Initial shooting of all die sets where applicable.
• Complete and file all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
• Follow all OSHA and safety rules and regulations.
• Adhere to all USF policies and procedures.
