Die Setter/Press Operator $17-$18 HR
About The Position
MUST HAVE METAL SHOP EXPERIENCE $17-$18 HR. RESPONSIBLE FOR SET UOP AND MAINTENANCE OF HYDRAULIC PRESSES USED FOR THE POWDERED METAL PARTS PRESSING OPERATION. MUSR USE RHE PROPER DIES, TOOLS AND MAKE ALL THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS TO ENSURE THAT THE POWDERED METAL PARTS MEET ALL QUALITY SPECIFICATIONS.. SET UP AND MAINTAIN CORRECT ADJUSTMENTS ON SEVERAL PRESSES ASSURE THAT THE PROPER TOOLS AND DIES ARE PLACED INTO THE PRESS PERFORM INSPECTION OF PARTS FOR CRACKS AND CHIPS ACCOMPLISH THE SETUP IN A TIMELY MANNER COMMUNICATE CHANGES/ADJUSTMENTS MADE IN PRESSES., MUST WEAR STEEL TOED BOOTS LOAD FURNACE AND UNLOADING FURNACE MAINTAINING AND MONITORING BELT SPEED TEMP AND DEW POINTS. MUST HAVE GED OR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. UNDERSTAND COMMON DIMENSIONAL REFERENCES FRACTIONS AND DECIMALS. WORK HOURS 6AM-4:30PM MONDAY-FRIDAY
Requirements
- Metal shop experience
- GED or High School Diploma
- Understand common dimensional references fractions and decimals
- Must wear steel toed boots
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintenance of hydraulic presses
- Use proper dies and tools
- Make adjustments to ensure quality specifications are met
- Set up and maintain correct adjustments on several presses
- Assure that the proper tools and dies are placed into the press
- Perform inspection of parts for cracks and chips
- Accomplish the setup in a timely manner
- Communicate changes/adjustments made in presses
- Load and unload furnace
- Maintaining and monitoring belt speed temp and dew points
