About The Position

The Die Room Lead manages the day-to-day operation of the Wadsworth facility die room including scheduling of work, workflow optimization, and employee training. Additional responsibilities include working with Die Cutting Process Manager to ensure standardized work practices for the building of dies. Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 3 year Rohrer Apprenticeship
  • Pass Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Test
  • 2 years of experience in fitting/cutting rule preferred
  • Able to carry/lift an average of 30 lbs.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Practical problem-solving skill
  • Knowledge of how to bend and grind steel
  • Know bend cutting rules to fit patterns
  • General idea/knowledge of die building techniques
  • Willingness to engage in team activities/atmosphere
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Skills on cooperating with others
  • Capable of being careful about detail and thorough in completing tasks
  • Ability to be on feet the majority of the work day

Responsibilities
