Responsibilities:Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste.Conduct quality checks to ensure product meets required dimensions and there are zero material defects.Responsible for the precise setup, cleaning and troubleshooting of print plates used in the production of corrugated packaging.Accurate position and bond photopolymer plates onto carrier sheets or cylinders.Review work order and specification to select correct plates, cylinders, and tape. Prepares tooling for upcoming jobs, including cleaning, inspecting, and repairing dies. Inspect tooling product for defects such as misalignment, verity registration, and perform proofing to ensure print accuracy. Clean, maintain, and store plates, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Repair plates as needed and assist press operators with mounting issues. Meet production speed targets, such as mounting withing a specified timeframe per plate. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Work at machine centers when needed. Problems are solved when issues arise with machines. Read and respond to emails. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem-solving skills. Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends as needed. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, job order, and specifications.Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, as well as handle, move, and organize print plates.Basic math skills for measuring and calculating often require the use of tools. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment. Understanding flexographic printing plate types, and mounting tape applications. Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve machine issues. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating often requiring the use of tools. Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, as well as handle, move, and organize print plates. Know and understand Excel, so you can update spreadsheets. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: You must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel. Excellent communication skills. Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
