About The Position
Nissin Precision North America, Inc. is seeking a Die Maintenance Technician/Tool Maker to join our team in Englewood, Ohio. This full-time position is essential for maintaining the precision and efficiency of our metal stamping and welded assembly operations. The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge of tool and die design, shop mathematics, and metal properties to repair and fabricate dies, ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and effectively. As a Die Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and debugging progressive die tooling, addressing any issues that arise, and implementing engineering changes as necessary. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the quality and safety of our tooling operations. In this role, you will plan jobs and routes throughout the shop, perform in-process inspections, and be prepared to troubleshoot and repair dies in press when needed. Safety is a top priority, and you will complete safety inspections on tools before they are sent to production. Additionally, you will install tool sensors when applicable and provide engineering expertise and direction to resolve tooling-related problems. Your contributions will also include assisting in the development and maintenance of tooling, as well as proposing and implementing improvements to foster a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor. Accurate record-keeping of die maintenance will be essential to ensure compliance and efficiency in our operations.
