About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Die Maintenance Assistant to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. In this role you are responsible for assisting the die cast team. The hours are Tuesday – Friday; 5am - 3:30pm. We Offer You! Growth Potential Team -Oriented Environment What Success Looks Like: Obtains thorough instructions from Supervisor, Team Lead, Tool Room Machinist or Tooling and Process Engineer before proceeding with each task. Tears down, makes minor repairs on, lubricates and reassembles die to meet production schedules and process standards. Turns die casting nozzles to the proper radius required, using an engine lathe. Operates in a skillful manner a variety of machinists hand tools and inspection equipment for gaging purposes. Will assist with Preventive Maintenance program for Tool Room Machine Tools. Reports any malfunctioning machines to supervisor. What You Bring: Must be able to work independently. Requirements
