About The Position

As a Die Designer, youll play a vital role in designing extrusion dies and gages for inspecting parts for producing high-strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a mission that literally helps the world take flight.

Requirements

Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED; engineering degree a plus
Minimum Experience: 1 year of CAD/Drafting and/or 1-year machine shop experience; SolidWorks experience preferred with knowledge of machine and tool capability; FEA analysis a plus
Certifications Required: SolidWorks certificate of training a plus
Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Responsibilities

Exercise and promote safety
Receive pre-sale quote request and customer prints from Sales department
Review all customer prints and requirements for producibility
Enter all required information into the UAC Engineering System
Produce, mill, master and first article prints for production
Design secondary tooling gauges, stretcher and rework tooling
Maintain inventory of tooling
Other duties as assigned
