About The Position

Operates equipment to die cut printed product to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work collaboratively with co-workers.

  • Ability to read and write comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to address issues involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas, information and or work assignments with co-workers and management as needed.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32” and a metric ruler to 1mm.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
  • Maintains clean work area.
  • Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
  • Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
  • Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
  • Must have the ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1 mm.
  • Trains co-workers and new hires to set up, operate and use equipment.
  • General knowledge and understanding of the die cutting processes and equipment.
  • Set up print and die cut sections of die cutters in accordance with proper setup techniques.
  • Read job tickets to determine set up specifications and instructions.
  • Observe and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and to determine if adjustments are needed.
  • Inspects die cut product for thorough cutting, precise and consistent print-to-cut registration and positioning.
  • Follows instructions accurately.
  • Maintains records of daily production using specific forms and data tracking systems.
  • Trains co-workers to set-up and operate machines.
  • Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and troubleshooting.
