About The Position

The position involves participating in the setup, operation, and monitoring of die-cast machines to produce quality parts efficiently. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring part quality, and minimizing production downtime through effective monitoring and documentation. The individual will be responsible for completing reports and paperwork accurately, maintaining an orderly and clean workspace using the 5-S principles, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Communication with supervisors and co-workers in a professional manner is essential, as is promoting a positive atmosphere and supporting team morale.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to use hand tools and air powered tools.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Crane operator certification.
• Ability to follow work instructions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities.
• Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others by following all safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure part quality is in accordance with inspection report.
• Perform complete setup of die cast machines and trim presses.
• Monitor and document all aspects of setup to minimize production downtime.
• Accurately complete reports and all necessary paperwork for the jobs.
• Utilize the 5-S principles to maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area.
• Regularly meet or exceed efficiency requirements.
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events to improve safety, quality, and efficiencies.
• Support and contribute positively to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Promote a positive atmosphere and support activities that enhance the welfare and morale of team employees.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
