About The Position

We are seeking a Diamond Turning Technician I for 2nd
Shift to join our precision machining team. Under general supervision, you will operate and maintain diamond turning machines, perform part inspections, and ensure compliance with strict optical and mechanical specifications. This role is critical to supporting production ramps for a key missile program and expanding capacity on existing and new equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Basic CNC programming knowledge helpful
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
• Mathematical: Ability to calculate proportions, angles, and apply basic algebra and geometry
• Language: Ability to read and write simple instructions and communicate effectively in small groups
• Reasoning: Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving standard situations

Responsibilities

• Operate precision diamond turning machines and perform routine cleaning and maintenance
• Set up and adjust machines; modify programming as needed to meet part specifications
• Read blueprints and work instructions to determine part requirements
• Clean parts using acetone and other approved chemicals
• Inspect optical surfaces for quality and measure surface roughness, figure, radius, and other requirements
• Perform accurate data entry in computer systems
• Learn and support metrology processes
