DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Ashtabula Dialysis Center in Ashtabula, OH. Paid Training Provided! Some Health Care Experience Preferred. Operational Hours: M/W/F 5:00am - 6:30pm, T/TH/S 5:00am - 3:30pm. Some floating may be required to Kingsville, Madison, Painesville. PCTs expected shifts for this clinic: 3 or 4 days per week and can be asked to start as early as 4:00 am. Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training. You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Paid training: DaVita offers all new dialysis teammates a robust, paid training program to help you learn the right dialysis skills. The training is a mix of computer based learning, classroom, and hands on training. Reimbursement for your Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) license.   • Direct Patient Care: Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Prepare the water room and bicarb for the patients, testing the water for chlorine and checking tool calibration.
  • Educate patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
  • Work under the supervision of a RN and collaborate with a cross-functional team of clinicians.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Health care experience including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
  • Some health care experience preferred.
