About The Position

WHAT YOU WILL DOThe Medical Social Worker utilizes social work expertise and clinical knowledge to educate patients on the best choices for treatment, health, and wellness when living with kidney disease to enhance quality of life. The Medical Social Worker is responsible for supporting the social and emotional well-being of patients at Satellite Healthcare. The Social Worker conducts psychosocial assessments, participates in care planning and team review of the patient's current psychosocial needs, and provides management of services to patients to assist them in coping with issues associated with chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatments.WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOUYou will play a vital role to ensure that we deliver on our Mission to make life better for those with kidney disease and our Vision to be unsurpassed in our individualized experience, our quality, and our compassion. Requirements

• Must have Master's Degree in Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE).
• Current licensure in applicable state is required unless employed in the state of AZ, PA or Guam. License must be maintained as current and in good standing. (See addendum for Social Worker for minimum licensing requirements.)
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); proficiency in all USRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.
• Must meet any practice requirement(s) for the applicable state.

Nice To Haves

• Preferable experience in other health and human services fields.
• Medical experience is highly desirable.
• One (1) year of work experience in a behavioral or healthcare-related setting preferred.
• Previous experience in providing social services to dialysis patients preferred.
