The Staff Registered Nurse - Hemodialysis assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care during dialysis treatment utilizing the nursing process May be required to float to other units. May be required to participate in on call status. This position requires population specific competencies. Responsibilities The Staff Registered Nurse - Hemodialysis's management of the delivery and documentation of patient care includes, but is not limited to: Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre, during and post treatment for each patient and document in the patient medical record, adjusts or modifies the treatment plan as indicated. Implementation of appropriate patient care interventions by recognizing aspects and implications from patient status that vary from normal. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to update the nursing assessment and plan of care. Provides guidance, mentorship and serves as a resource for health care team and students as appropriate. Maintains hemodialysis treatment record as related to the nursing process. Supervises and coordinates other licensed and non-licensed caregivers in the provision of care to patients as assigned. Provides guidance and mentorship to non-licensed caregivers, students, and new RNs in the care of dialysis patients as appropriate. The Staff Registered Nurse reports to the appropriate manager, director, or vice president. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Must follow standard precautions. Requirements

  • RN (Registered Nurse)
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • 1-3 years Hemodialysis or ICU experience

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for Dialysis RN CDN/CNN
  • Acute Hemodialysis experience
