Requirements

  • Valid temporary or permanent State Registered Nurse License.
  • At least one (1) year of Hemodialysis experience
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Using independent and interdependent judgment, the Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed.
  • In collaboration with the physician, the Dialysis RN assures implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population.
  • Initiating an on-going systematic assessment of patients.
  • Providing nursing care to meet the needs of the hemodialysis patient.
  • Interpreting assessment data and information.
  • Collaborating with providers regarding the dialysis treatment plan.
  • Performing hemodialysis as prescribed.
  • Teaching and counseling patients/families.
