About The Position

We are seeking a Full Time Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team! New Clinical Career Ladder for Full Time Employees! Participants in the Clinical Career Ladder are eligible for pay increases after successful completion of the Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert Level. Vibra Hospital of Clear Lake is a Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.
  • One (1) year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, critical care or dialysis preferred.
  • Must be able to accurately interpret color test strips.

Nice To Haves

  • Dialysis experience preferred, but not required.
  • Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Current ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare.
  • Reviews all patients receiving dialysis therapy and assesses clinical status throughout treatment.
  • Consistently assists team members in the delivery of acute hemodialysis utilizing the established standards of care.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence; manages patient care; improves quality of care; establishes professional relationships and utilizes professional skills.
  • Fulfills responsibilities of the role of the hospital; develops clinical expertise per specialty.
