About The Position

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician at Concerto Renal Services plays a crucial role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients with end-stage renal disease. This position involves working under the supervision of a licensed nurse and is integral to ensuring high-quality patient care through a centralized and continuous care model.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification or completion upon starting in unit.
• Minimum of two (2) years of dialysis technician experience.
• Dialysis certification required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and long-term care staff.
• Obtain pre and post treatment vitals, weight, and vascular access assessment.
• Report any unusual changes or findings to the nurse.
• Set up, operate, and perform safety checks of hemodialysis machines.
• Initiate and discontinue dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and policy.
• Administer heparin as allowed by state law.
• Document information related to patient treatment including vital signs and changes in condition accurately and timely.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Obtain and prepare laboratory specimens as prescribed.
