About The Position

As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for various patient care activities, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols while contributing to the overall well-being of patients with renal failure.

Requirements

• Current Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) certificate from California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for California applicants.
• Certified Nursing Assistants -- Dialysis Technicians (CNA-DT) certificate from Maryland Board of Nursing for Maryland applicants.
• New Mexico dialysis technician certificate at time of hire or completion of an approved training program for New Mexico applicants.
• Active BONENT certification for out-of-state applicants applying in Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients.
• Gather patient statistics before and after treatment.
• Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatment as required.
• Collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
• Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments and ensure they are cleaned and disinfected after use.
• Conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
• Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
