About The Position

The Dialysis Nurse at Concerto Renal Services is responsible for supervising dialysis care in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves collaborating with the hemodialysis healthcare team, providing education to patients, and ensuring the effective delivery of dialysis therapy. The Dialysis Nurse also oversees the work of dialysis technicians and maintains accurate documentation of patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current state appropriate nursing license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Dialysis experience required.
• CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dialysis care in accordance with policy, procedure, and training.
• Provide customer service to patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Educate patients about their renal disease and dialysis therapy.
• Delegate tasks to dialysis technicians for safe delivery of dialysis therapy.
• Direct dialysis technicians using compliance standards and regulations.
• Monitor hemodialysis care according to policy and procedure.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation by dialysis technicians.
• Perform pre and post treatment assessments and document interventions.
• Assess patient responses to hemodialysis therapy and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Ensure proper handling of lab specimens according to DOT policies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Review lab results and report critical data to physicians.
• Complete patient assessments and care plans in a timely manner.
• Maintain overall shift operations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document appropriately.
