About The Position

The Dialysis Facility Administrator / Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a dialysis facility, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both staff and patients. This role involves leadership, staff management, patient care coordination, and collaboration with medical professionals to deliver high-quality dialysis services.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BS in nursing preferred.
  • Current RN license in relevant state, maintained in good standing.
  • 18 months as an RN with 12 months experience in nursing care of patients with kidney failure.
  • 12 months nursing experience in dialysis within the last 24 months or 18 months as an RN with current certification in nephrology or hemodialysis.
  • 1-year previous dialysis management experience preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and perform in emergent situations with sound judgment.
  • Regulation qualified to direct dialysis nursing services.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in NRC clinical applications required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, develop and supervise all personnel.
  • Plan, coordinate, and approve effective staffing to meet patient needs while adhering to regulations.
  • Plan and coordinate patient scheduling to ensure timely acceptance and effective staffing levels.
  • Establish, maintain, and submit all required records and reports concerning staff, patients, and operational affairs.
  • Conduct and participate in meetings with the governing body, VP of Operations, Medical Director, and staff.
  • Ensure appropriate staff meetings and in-service education meetings are held monthly.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with area hospitals, agencies, and the community.
  • Coordinate functions of all departments and develop standards for measuring patient care services.
  • Supervise maintenance of equipment and facility property, and purchase supplies as needed.
  • Monitor all contractual agreements and review incident reports, making recommendations as necessary.
