About The Position

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational condition, maintenance, and repair of water treatment equipment and medical devices in dialysis clinics. This role is crucial for maintaining patient safety and the safety of staff, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Previous experience in dialysis, hospital, or medical settings preferred.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
  • Ability to perform under stress and in emergency situations.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory control procedures.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety measures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational condition and maintenance of water treatment and medical equipment.
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory control, including placing orders and performing inventory counts.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain dialysis machines and related equipment as per manufacturer recommendations.
  • Perform water quality checks and safety tests on water treatment equipment.
  • Collect samples for microbiology and AAMI analysis testing according to protocols.
  • Disinfect dialysis machines and water distribution systems according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support documentation for equipment.
  • Address physical environment issues impacting patient and staff safety.
  • Participate in staff meetings and promote customer service standards.
