About The Position

The Diagnostician at Shepherd Independent School District is responsible for assessing the educational, learning styles, and program needs of students referred to special education services. This role requires collaboration with instructional personnel to ensure the provision of the most appropriate instructional programs for students with disabilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in educational assessment
• Valid Texas teaching certificate
• Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate
• Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and education of special education students
• Ability to interpret data
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Two years teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Assess the educational and learning needs of students referred to special education services.
• Collaborate with instructional personnel to develop appropriate instructional programs for students with disabilities.
