About The Position

The Diagnostic Ultrasound Technician at Gulf Coast Medical Center is responsible for performing ultrasound procedures and echocardiograms, ensuring high-quality patient care in a multi-specialty practice. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with a team to provide timely and accurate diagnostic imaging services.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered/Certified ARDMS/RVT in the State of Florida.
• At least 3 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Computer knowledge is essential; experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and carotids.
• Accurately completes each study in a timely manner and produces preliminary reports for physician review.
• Notifies physicians of any significant or critical findings during tests.
• Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly logs for the Operations Manager.
• Ensures proper care and maintenance of ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and disposes of contaminated supplies.
• Complies with OSHA and Health Department standards as per company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
