About The Position

UPMC Lock Haven is currently seeking a full-time Diagnostic Technologist to join our dedicated team. Requirements

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program, or verification of program completion and scheduled graduation date.
• Candidates may be hired prior to graduation but must work under indirect supervision of an ARRT-certified technologist until their degree is verified.
• ARRT certification is required to work in an outpatient setting.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (must meet AHA standards including both didactic and hands-on components).
• If working in New York State, candidates must be certified by ARRT or NMTCB and hold a valid license from the New York State Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols.
• Administer oral and rectal contrast as ordered.
• Accurately document patient history and ensure proper coding and image archiving.
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and ease concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient, compassionate care.
