As a Remote Diagnostic Technician, you’ll perform advanced vehicle diagnostics, programming, and calibrations — providing clear repair recommendations to our partners. What You’ll Do: Diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues remotely. Perform programming and calibrations on a wide range of makes and models. Collaborate with Elitek partners to deliver fast, accurate solutions. Manage time and resources effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $22 - $28 per hour based on experience. Essential Job Duties Serve as a primary partner contact as needed within the service process. Primary duties are completed in a call center environment. Provide diagnostic and technical subject matter expertise in a customer service-centric manner to each partner/customer. Provide first call final resolution to as many vehicle scans as possible, escalating when needed, but helping the customer complete the process and move the vehicle through their repair sequence. Educate our partners/customers on the importance of diagnostic scans. Assist Remote technicians with required diagnostic tests and in performing technical evaluations. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules. Assumes other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising employees.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience in the automotive industry at an entry-level position.
Technical or Vocational school graduate and/or OEM training.
IT Support experience or related education
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
Decisions generally affect one’s job or assigned functional area.
Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma/GED.
Understanding of the automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo.
