About The Position

Under general direction, position is responsible for performing clinical testing of clients in accordance with departmental standards to ensure that quality results are obtained. NOTE: Upon attainment of registry as outlined, reassignment to Tech Diagnostic/Polysomnographic Registered or Tech Diagnostic Polysomnographic RT Registered position based on IH guidelines will occur.

Requirements

• Good oral and written communications skills
• BLS certification
• Non-Respiratory Therapist must complete the AASM A-Step Modules and 1638 hours of testing to become eligible to obtain registry and must obtain registry within 24 months of being eligible for registry.
• Respiratory Therapist must complete the AASM A-Step Modules and 546 hours of testing to become eligible to obtain registry and must obtain registry within 24 months of being eligible for registry.

Nice To Haves

• B.S. degree in Health or Biological Sciences or training in a related paramedical specialty
• Working knowledge of polysomnography
