About The Position
Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Part Time - 24 hours/week - afternoons with weekend rotation Call and Holidays when applicable Job Description: Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner.
Requirements
- Technical Diploma from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) License
- Current License with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R)Registry
Responsibilities
- Verifies orders, patient name/birth date and history.
- Performs/documents time out procedure for invasive procedures.
- Performs routine diagnostic imaging, fluoroscopy, surgery imaging, ED/Urgent care imaging, and assist Radiologist and authorized providers with exams/procedures, as necessary.
- Produce quality images for Radiologist’s review.
- Must be able to complete warm up and QC on equipment (i.e. room checks, contrast reactions/infiltrates as required).
