About The Position

Lantern Government Solutions is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) to support the Department of Veterans Affairs at the White River Junction VA Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to serve our nation's veterans by delivering high-quality imaging services in a collaborative healthcare environment. The initial contract is for 6 months (1,040 hours) , with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months. Your daily responsibilities may include: Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively, including fluoroscopy and other modalities. Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with VA standards and clinical protocols. Ensure patient safety and comfort while maintaining strict compliance with radiation protection standards. Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the VA's CPRS/VistA systems. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to support patient care. Adhere to VA directives, handbooks, and privacy/security requirements.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
  • Must meet VA credentialing and privileging standards (allow 60 days for approval).
  • Favorable background investigation required prior to start.
  • Completion of VA mandatory training, BLS certification, and computer system orientation.
  • Proficiency in radiologic imaging techniques; ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
  • Proof of immunizations and screenings (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, Hepatitis B).
  • Must meet OSHA bloodborne pathogen training requirements and CDC infection control guidelines.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States in compliance with federal law and VA contract requirements.
