About The Position

This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. This position requires rotational shift work to include holidays, weekends and on call as needed. Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Bragg, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks. Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Requirements

  • US Citizenship required
  • This position requires the employee to possess and maintain American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification.
  • Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (l) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computerized axial tomographic scanning of heads and/or bodies.
  • Review requests from physicians and other healthcare providers for examinations.
  • Explain procedures to patient and/or family.
  • Administer oral and intravenous contrast material in accordance with universal precautions.
  • Position equipment and patient for optimal imaging.
  • Ensure supplies are in adequate supply for the department.
