About The Position

This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Department of Radiology, Honolulu, Hawaii. A RECRUITMENT OR RELOCATION INCENTIVE WILL BE AUTHORIZED UP TO 25%, IF ELIGIBLE. SALARY NEGOTIATION MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR THOSE CANDIDATES WHO ARE NEW TO FEDERAL SERVICE. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Requirements

• Radiology Certification as per Public Law 97-35.
• Basic Life Support training certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
• Mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement.
• Shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized axial tomographic scanning of heads and/or bodies.
• Receive patients, explain methods of procedure, position patients for examinations, and make exposures to produce diagnostic images.
• Direct the work of one or two lower grade technologists/technicians.
• Perform basic nursing duties related to radiography such as emergency cardiac arrest procedures, use of the oxygen, suction and connecting patients to the EKG and blood pressure apparatus.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Review images for quality.

Benefits

• Salary range: $60,696 - $82,977 per year.
• Cost of living allowance for Hawaii at the rate of 8.64% (subject to change).
