Diagnostic Medical Vascular Sonographer Weekends
About The Position
Responsible for performing a wide range of Sonography and Vascular Sonography procedures to provide high-quality diagnostic information for the treatment and prognosis of vascular disorders and other medical conditions. This position conducts ultrasound procedures across various patient ages, ensuring high-quality exams for interpretation by medical professionals. Additionally, this role assists physicians with interventional procedures, using ultrasound as a guidance tool. This position exercises independent judgment in performing diagnostic scans and selecting technical factors.
Requirements
- ARDMS (AB)
- ARDMS (OB)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography (R.T.(VS)(ARRT)) OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
Responsibilities
- Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
- Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation. Other duties as assigned.
- Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
- Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
