Over 20,000 Students 10 Campuses Competency Based Education Online Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Clinical Description South College Asheville is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Clinical Adjunct Instructor to join the DMS Department. This position is based at the Asheville Campus in Asheville, NC. Travel to area clinical sites is expected for the role.

Requirements

• Must be credentialed in ABD and OB/GYN; in good standing with the ARDMS.
• Must possess the appropriate credential(s) specific to one of more of the credential(s) offered.
• Must document the equivalent of two years full-time experience as a sonographer.

Nice To Haves

• 3D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective learning and critical thinking during clinical rotations while fostering a positive learning environment
• Validate student competency in the clinical environment
• Establish and maintain positive working relationship with clinical agencies and preceptors
• Ensure that all academic program requirements and forms of documentation are completed as required for each student and submitted per established deadlines in sonography.
• Provide appropriate and timely feedback to students.
• Be reasonably accessible to students for questions and assistance.
• Submit accurate attendance/academic participation rosters as prescribed by the institution.
• Submit assignment grades and feedback in a timely manner.
• Be willing to assist with visiting students in a clinical setting.
