Holy Cross Hospital - West Valley is one of the busiest ERs in Utah, known for offering a broad spectrum of medical services and specialty clinics to care for the diverse healthcare needs of the growing community. The facility includes a Level III trauma center, STEMI cardiac receiving center, Certified stroke treatment center, and orthopedics specializing in helping athletes recover from sports-related injuries. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, the role involves providing quality patient care within the medical imaging department, performing high-quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and adhering to standards of safe radiation practice. The Sonographer is also expected to demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists and act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, ensuring current standards of practice for the unit.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- ARDMS - registered required
- RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RVT(VT) with OB or ABD required within 1 year or hire, or ARRT registered - R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department
- Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining the sensitivity to patient needs while following standards of safe radiation practice
- Demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists
- Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and assures current standards of practice for the unit
