About The Position

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Will be scanning for the ED and In/Outpatient community members
  • Performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.
