About The Position

As the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Position performs both adult and pediatric imaging in-house in an acute care setting. Work is performed independently and is reviewed by the physician through adherence to established procedures and protocols and by observation and discussion of results achieved.

Requirements

• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography.
• Graduate of recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in Ultrasound Technology.
• Proficiency in all areas of ultrasound, including routine diagnostic, portable and invasive procedures.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years hospital experience in Breast, obs., general, small parts and vascular experience.
