The Medical Physics division operates under the Imaging/Diagnostic Institute and plays a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of imaging services, with a primary focus on X-ray systems. The department provides critical support in quality assurance, equipment performance evaluation, and compliance with regulatory standards. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the department is actively involved in the education and training of future medical physicists. One resident is recruited each year into a three-year Medical Physics Residency Program, which is structured to provide comprehensive training in diagnostic medical physics. The residency program maintains a strong commitment to personalized mentorship and high-quality education. Please note that the program does not sponsor visas. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Develop skills to become an independent Diagnostic Medical Physicist; a complete list of requirements is given in the Cleveland Clinic Diagnostic Medical Physics Program Manual.
