The Diagnostic Imaging Unit Coordinator provides strategic oversight and day-to-day management of systemwide staffing operations across all imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine. This role ensures continuous operational coverage, manages technologist assignments across multiple campuses, and collaborates closely with modality leads, registry vendors, and clinical leaders to optimize workflow efficiency, compliance, and patient-centered care. The Unit Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting departmental operations during staffing challenges and surge events, while also driving standardization of scheduling processes and staffing models. In addition to daily operational leadership, the Unit Coordinator contributes to department-wide performance improvement efforts, strategic planning, and regulatory readiness initiatives. Strong project management skills are essential, and Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is strongly preferred to support the design and execution of initiatives aimed at improving staffing efficiency, minimizing waste, and enhancing patient throughput across campuses. This role reports directly to the Imaging System Director and serves as a key liaison between front-line teams and executive leadership.
