About The Position

Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor Full-Time, FTE 1.0 I First Shift BHCOR-Radiology Diagnostic I Corbin, KY Radiological Technologist Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist with diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor assists the Diagnostic Imaging Director with the day-to-day operations and quality oversight of Diagnostic Imaging at Baptist Health Corbin. This position supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered imaging and diagnostic services in compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and evidence-based best practices. The Supervisor assists the Diagnostic Imaging Director with leading a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion, and supports the growth and development of imaging services. Job Description: Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams following established protocols and physician orders. Verify patient identity, exam orders, and medical history prior to procedures. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging, maintaining proper positioning and communication. Apply radiation protection standards (ALARA) for patients, self, and staff during all procedures. Produce and review diagnostic images for Radiologist interpretation; verify accurate image archiving in PACS. Administer contrast materials and perform peripheral venipuncture when indicated, documenting all details in the electronic health record (EHR). Monitor patients during exams and report any changes in condition or adverse reactions immediately. Perform daily equipment checks, quality control (QC), and report malfunctions or safety issues promptly. Maintain proper inventory of supplies and linens, ensuring readiness and efficiency within the department. Collaborate with Radiologists, Nursing, and other departments to coordinate patient flow and exam scheduling. Support accreditation and compliance initiatives (e.g., ACR Accreditation, safety drills, and infection control). Participate in staff training, student instruction, and onboarding of new team members.
