Imaging Supervisor - Northern Ohio Imaging Center - Mercy Health Shift/Schedule and Position Information Full Time - Scheduled for 40 Weekly Hours Primary Shift Dates & Times - Day Shift Monday-Friday This is a non-exempt (hourly) position Mercy Health — Northern Ohio Imaging Center is a department of Mercy Health — Lorain Hospital Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Supervisor of Imaging manages and coordinates the daily operations of all assigned areas. They will oversee imaging services in a manner that optimizes patient, associate, and physician experience. They will maintain a productive work environment and will meet professional, regulatory, and accreditation standards. The Supervisor also collaborates effectively with imaging personnel, inter-disciplinary departments, facility leadership, Manager of Imaging, Director of Imaging, and Medical Director of Imaging. Essential Job Functions Provides an environment of open communication and support among all team members. Assures compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and standards. Takes corrective action when warranted. Applies current healthcare knowledge, policies, practices to strategic planning. Is knowledgeable of and applies current regulatory and accreditation requirements. Develops, implements and monitors action plans to surpass standards of excellence. Is committed to continuous improvement. Promotes and initiates performance improvement activities. Provides reports, recommendations and action plans needed to meet goals, Joint Commission requirements and other required standards and regulations (ACR, State Department of Health, NRC). Plans and conducts regular and specialized in-service training programs; maintains clinical affiliation with radiologic technology training program(s). Orients and provides in-service training and continuing education opportunities to department associates to ensure their continued technical proficiency. Develops, recommends, and administers department operating and capital expense budgets and ensures that department(s) operates within budget; identifies and implements appropriate cost-effective measures on a continuous basis. Recommends the acquisition, use and organization of available resources to ensure the provision of radiology services Determines and recommends the number of staff members needed to provide high-quality, economic service and ensures that staff members are qualified and competent. Manages patient flow/load and technologist hours to meet patient and facility needs. Assures delivery of quality radiology services; available for consultation with medical, nursing and administrative staff to coordinate patient care. Collaborates with other departments and physicians in the facilities to ensure exceptional care. Serves as a resource for all Radiology personnel.
