Primary focus on job completion of tasks and assisting staff with complex problems. Provides direct supervision including hiring, coaching, and discipline, training, and work assignments for the assigned section or department. Plans and schedules work for the section or department. Makes recommendation in strategic planning; Assists in determining departmental goals and objectives. Provides direction for staff using established policies and procedures and input into policy and procedure revisions. Work is reviewed for overall quality and adequacy in meeting established standards and in defining objectives for function or area.

Requirements

  • 3 years of work experience as a staff technologist
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medicine Review Board (NMTCB).
  • Must also have current mammography certification through ARRT upon hire/transfer (if in mammography department only) and ARDMS (if in ultrasound department only).
  • If North Dakota, must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.
