Job Summary Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) of high-level diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment used throughout the health system. Equipment includes at least one of the following areas: CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, angiography, cardiovascular, or radiation therapy; as assigned. Essential Functions Performs preventative/ corrective maintenance for assigned equipment per equipment specifications and standards. Coordinates repairs, maintenance, modifications, etc. with clinical staff and equipment vendor Completes work orders, parts orders, part returns, expense forms, timesheets, and other administrative paperwork. Provides support, or access to support, to clinical imaging staff on the optimal operation of imaging equipment. Coordination with internal/ external resources as required. Maintains knowledge of vendor agreements, service contracts, and second source part contacts to provide high quality, timely, and cost-effective repairs. Must be able to participate in after-hours/weekend on-call rotation once every 10 weeks that involve support, or coordinating support, for multiple product lines. Maintains necessary parts and supply inventory. Maintains equipment identification information within service database. Qualifications Required Associate's Degree in electronics technology, medical electronics, biomedical engineering, or related field, or equivalent additional experience 5 years of relevant experience as an imaging field service engineer or a related field At least two licenses and/or certifications in modalities related to imaging, electronics, biomed, or a related field Preferred Bachelor's Degree in electronics technology, medical electronics, biomedical engineering, or related experience Radiology Equipment Specialist certification About Corewell Health As a team member at Corewell Health, you will play an essential role in delivering personalized health care to our patients, members and our communities.
