About The Position

The Diagnostic Imaging Parts Specialist reports to the Procurement Manager and is responsible for procurement of products and services essential to operations, inclusive of executing cost saving opportunities, developing strong supplier relationships through detailed spend analysis, strategic parts negotiation, and management of seamless availability of all products to support operational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training that pertains to job description.
  • 5+ years previous parts logistics, purchasing, supply chain, medical parts experience.

Responsibilities

  • Acknowledging, processing service and repair department parts requests, through database platforms within the procurement team interactions through the entry requests, depleting from internal inventory or external vendor procurement.
  • For T&M (Time and Materials) requests, obtain competitive pricing to submit to management for review.
  • Responsible for strategic supplier relationships and parts negotiations with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), and third-party distribution suppliers and/or service partners.
  • Analyze parts data and market trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and identify emerging opportunities for discussion with procurement team.
  • Maintain and follow purchasing policies to ensure compliance within the organization's operations, including staying up to date on company training that pertains to job duties.
  • Ability to develop reports and analyze data to make necessary business decisions and hold suppliers accountable for procurement of parts commitments.
  • Assist in identifying parts for repairs and replenishment of internal inventory in alignment to equipment life cycle management.
  • Interactions with other departments' organization teams to provide purchase orders, including both written and verbal communication of shipment and/or order details.
  • Accountable for assigned tasks for sourcing parts identified in part replenishment and repairs meeting, including researching and developing a plan on hard to find and/or obsolete items.
  • Pro-active communications to support teams of any supplier/vendor issues in support of existing requests, to include facilitating through necessary approval process when required, available for on-call after-hours support, parts I.D. as part of the team's scheduled rotation.
  • Supports service and dispatch department interactions on providing documentation to accounting when required for payable invoice to include credit card transactions.
