About The Position

Diagnostic Imaging Navigator 8am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday - sometimes hours will vary depending on event attendance. Coordinates care of patients participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional practice in the clinical setting. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality as a Navigator. Facilitates high quality and individualized patient care through coordination of imaging, collaboration with providers and education for the diagnostic imaging patient through coordination, collaboration, and advocacy The Navigator works collaboratively with the patient and their support system, referring physicians, radiologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, medical oncologists, cancer registry, outcomes department, clinical research staff, in- patient and outpatient care areas, community education and other healthcare professionals to support the cancer patient from prevention and early detection through diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and survival plan of care. Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and autonomy in developing the Navigator program needs and goals for success. Enhances self-development on a continual basis.
