JOB DESCRIPTION: The Diagnostic Imaging/CT Radiology Technologist is preferred to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging and/or CT and have committed hours to UVM Medical Center (UVMMC). They demonstrate progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the Radiology department. A Technologist in this position should expect to perform imaging examinations within both CT and Diagnostic Imaging modalities in a given shift. They operate a variety of x-ray and CT equipment to perform routine imaging, fluoroscopic and operating room procedures according to established practices under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor, and Lead Technologists. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis. EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. In good standing with the ARRT. Holds a valid CT state license. Advanced CT certification by the ARRT is required within 1 year of being hired into the position. CPR certified. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of Radiology/CT experience is preferred. Experience with students in an accredited School of Radiology, techniques and equipment, as well as an awareness of current quality assurance practices. Requirements
