About The Position

The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting radiologic procedures by providing nonprofessional services. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from the imaging department, ensuring their comfort and safety during transfers. The assistant also aids in stocking supplies and maintaining the oxygen supply for the department, while effectively communicating with imaging staff regarding patient conditions and any delays.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
• CPR Certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and participate in shared lifting of 100 lbs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the imaging department safely and efficiently.
• Assist with the transfer of patients from stretchers to carts or wheelchairs.
• Stock supplies and replenish oxygen supply for the department.
• Communicate any delays or changes in patient condition to technologists and imaging staff.
