About The Position

Diagnostic Imaging Assistant at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR Part-Time/Day Shift The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist is responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients. The position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.
1 year Clerical or Customer Service experience.

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree in the medical field or equivalent education/experience.
1 year medical and/or clerical experience, or A successful completion of a Providence Internship.
College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or equivalent education/experience.
Medical terminology and physical anatomy: knowledge obtained through work experience.
Diagnostic Imaging experience.
Electronic Medical Records System experience.
