About The Position

The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant position at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is a part-time role requiring 20 hours of work weekly. The working hours are scheduled for Mondays, Fridays, and every other Sunday from 1500 to 2330, with rotating weekends. Under the general supervision of the Radiology Support Supervisor and Lead technologists, the assistant will provide assistance to patients, their significant others, technologists, physicians, and other hospital personnel as needed. The role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service, explaining procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, and promoting trust.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting, especially in direct patient care roles.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Keyboarding skills of 35-40 wpm.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Previous Windows experience.

  • Experience with healthcare information systems, including PACS.
