The Diagnostic Customer Coordinator position at Danbury Hospital is a full-time role within the Radiology department, designed to support radiology technologists and enhance customer service. The position operates on a variable day shift, typically from 7:30 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The primary responsibility of the Diagnostic Customer Coordinator is to act as a liaison between radiology professionals and customers, including community physicians, internal physicians, service departments, and offsite facilities. This role is crucial in expediting communications to improve customer service across various facilities, including Danbury Hospital, Danbury Diagnostic Imaging, Ridgefield Diagnostic Imaging, and Danbury Medical Arts Center. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and have at least three years of experience in data entry, customer service, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additionally, a year of medical terminology knowledge is required. The role involves various responsibilities, including scheduling patients for radiology procedures, obtaining prior films/studies, assisting radiologists with STAT readings, and ensuring compliance with financial clearance and charge entry processes. The position also requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other customer service staff to ensure service excellence and quality of care, following the Planetree model. Candidates with an Associate's Degree and experience with Cerner, Document Imaging, PACS, and Soarian Scheduling will be given preference. The pay for this position ranges from $16.00 to $29.51 per hour, depending on experience, with additional shift differentials available.
